If you’re heading through Lake Forest Park today or tomorrow, you might want to factor in some delay time as crews remove some cottonwood trees.

Details from King County Parks:

We’re going to be removing a pair of high-risk cottonwood trees along the trail near Northeast 170th. They’re giant trees, and they’ve been dropping small twigs – and now larger branches onto the trail. Time for them to come down.So for the next two days, Oct. 29-30, trail users through Lake Forest Park could see delays of up to 30 minutes while the trees are cut down in sections. We’ll have flaggers in place to direct trail traffic.
